These rules apply to everything on corddit: posts, comments, chat messages, images, usernames and promoted messages. They form part of our terms of use. Remember that everything you post is public.
Adults only
You must be 18 or over to use corddit. We remove the account of anyone under 18.
Illegal content
Do not post anything that is illegal under Philippine law. This includes the sale of drugs or firearms, fraud, cyber libel, and content that encourages or helps someone commit a crime. We remove it and may report it to the authorities.
Child sexual abuse or exploitation material: zero tolerance
Never post, share, request or link to child sexual abuse or exploitation material of any kind, including drawings, edited or AI-generated images, and text that sexualises children. Do not groom or contact children for sexual purposes. We remove this material, preserve the evidence, suspend the account permanently and report it to the authorities as the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act (Republic Act No. 11930) requires.
Harassment and bullying
Do not target, insult, threaten or pile on other people. Do not keep contacting or tagging someone who has made clear they want you to stop. Disagree with ideas, not people.
Gender-based online sexual harassment
Do not send unwanted sexual, misogynistic, homophobic or transphobic remarks, threats or messages. Do not share anyone's intimate photos or videos without their consent, and do not stalk anyone online. These acts are punishable under the Safe Spaces Act (Republic Act No. 11313).
Hate
Do not attack or demean people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age. Do not use slurs or share hateful symbols to promote hate.
Sexual content
corddit is public, so do not post pornography or sexually explicit material. Do not share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
Violence, threats and terrorism
Do not threaten, encourage or glorify violence against anyone. Do not promote terrorism or terrorist groups, and do not threaten or glorify violence at schools. Do not post graphic violence or gore.
Self-harm and suicide
You can talk about your own experiences and ask for support. Do not encourage, instruct or glorify self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
If you are struggling, call the National Center for Mental Health Crisis Hotline on 1553, available at any time. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Spam and scams
Do not post repetitive content, unsolicited advertising, misleading links, phishing, malware or schemes to take money or personal details from people. Do not use bots or multiple accounts to post or vote.
Misinformation
Do not knowingly post false information that could cause real harm, such as false health advice or fake emergency or disaster alerts. Do not present a rumour as fact.
Keep hubs on topic
Each hub has a subject. Post and chat about that subject. Use h/general for everything else. Moderators may remove content that is clearly in the wrong place.
No impersonation
Do not pretend to be another person, a moderator, the people who run corddit, a public official or an organisation. Parody is fine if it is obvious.
No doxxing
Do not share anyone's private information without their permission. This includes real names linked to usernames, home or work addresses, phone numbers, private photos and account details.
No ban evasion
If your account is suspended, do not create a new one or use someone else's to get around it. Appeal instead. We will suspend any account used to evade a ban.
Promoting chat messages
Any user can promote a chat message into a forum post, and the post will credit the original author. Only promote messages that follow these rules, and do not promote messages to embarrass or target the person who wrote them.
If you see something that breaks these rules
Use the report option on the post, comment or chat message. Our reporting and complaints page explains what happens next. You can also email safety@corddit.com.
What happens if you break the rules
Depending on how serious it is, moderators may remove your content, suspend your account for a period, or suspend it permanently. We will email you when we do this. You can appeal any decision within 14 days by emailing safety@corddit.com.
